Cosmos bipinnatus
Elegant, crimson-red, daisy-like flowers bloom freely from summer to frost above bushy plants covered with feathery, green foliage. Easy-to-grow plants bloom quickly. Tolerant of hot and dry conditions. Ht. 4 ft.

Gardener's Notes: In spring, after night temperatures reach 50F (13C), sow directly outdoors in well worked garden soil, spacing seeds 4-6 inches apart. Or , start in containers indoors 4 weeks before last frost, spacing 1-2 inches apart. Thin or transplant young seedlings 10-12 inches apart so plants have room to grow and mature. For long lasting cut flowers, cut stems when flowers have just opened, place in cool water immediately.
