Quite the enchanting variety, anemone “Rainbow Blueberry” displays crisp white petals with a blueish purple hue on their basal ends. Resembling a poppy, its blooms measure 5” across, sitting delicately atop “Rainbow Blueberry’s” extra long 18” tall stems. To be planted during the fall months (Sept-Dec) in preparation for spring (Mar-May) bloom arrival. In moist, but well-draining soil, plant the bulbs at a depth of 2”, spacing bulbs 4” apart. Anemones love lots of sun exposure but can use some shade in regions of higher temperatures. Ideal for growing in USDA hardiness zones 5 through 10. This easy-to-grow perennial is deer-resistant, however, note that anemones are poisonous to pets and humans if ingested in large quantities. Anemone “Rainbow Blueberry” bicoloured petals add style and elegance to flower beds, borders, or cut flower arrangements!
