Origin: South Africa and Mozambique
Jade is believed to be a symbol of fortune, friendship, and good luck. Whether this is true or not, this plant will add life and color to your home. Jade plants look amazing in terra cotta pots. Jade plants are easy once you understand their watering needs. They love full sun, but Jade plants are not as drought-tolerant as most other succulent species. It is very easy to either over or under water your Jade. Rather than watering regularly, use your finger to check if the top of the soil is dry, but never let your Jade dry out completely. We think Jade is a great houseplant for beginners due to its resilience and easy care. Older Jade plants may develop a thick tree-like trunk. When properly cared for, Jade plants can have an incredibly long life span. Jade is toxic if ingested. Keep out of reach of pets and small children.
