The RHS Award of Garden Merit is a mark of quality, awarded to garden plants with excellent garden performance. Each award is given only after a trial at an RHS Garden and judge by a team of experts.
The extensive flower seed range creates beautiful garden displays with excellent performance. Additionally they have been awarded RHS’s perfect for pollinators, as the best source of food for pollinating insects.
Sow indoors, January-March, 0.5cm (¼”) deep, in pots or trays of compost in an unheated frame or greenhouse. Keep moist, but not wet. Germination may be erratic, so prick out individual seedlings as they develop. Further germination may be prompted by covering with plastic and leaving outside to chill for 2-3 weeks, after which you should bring into a warm greenhouse at approx. 15°C (60°F). Pot on individually, harden off from May onwards and transplant to their flowering position, spacing approx. 30-40cm (12-16”) apart, in late autumn. Flowers: June to September.
