Garlic Chives grow grass-like leaves that have a mild garlic taste. To best retain flavor, dry harvested leaves quickly. Leaves that have been chopped can also be frozen for later use.
Garlic chives make a wonderful alternative to regular chives in herbed bread.
Instructions: Sow seed directly into the garden or start seed indoors 6 weeks before the last frost. Prefers well-drained soil in a sheltered area. After first season, clumps may be divided and transplanted. Harvest for fresh use anytime.
Suggestions: Cut no more than half of the leaves to allow for further growth.
