Origin: Central and South American Rainforests.
One of the most popular flowering houseplants, the peace lily blooms in the spring with long-lasting flowers. Glossy oval leaves emerge from the soil to form a beautiful contrast against the plants white or yellow blooms. This gorgeous foliage will compliment any room. Not only are these attractive plants great eye catchers, they are one of the best indoor plants to filter out air pollutants which make them great additions to bedrooms and other frequented rooms. The plant's pores can neutralize toxic gases like carbon monoxide and formaldehyde.
Peace Lilies belong to the Araceae family of plants. They are not actually part of the lily family. If your plant has not produced any flowers, place it in a darker room to force the blooms to appear. Compliment with Ferns, Pothos, and most flowering plants.
