JAPANESE TREE PEONIES

The Tree Peony is a long-lived, deciduous shrub native to China. It’s known for its large, fragrant flowers that bloom in mid to late spring. The flowers come in a variety of colors including white, red, pink, purple, and yellow. This plant thrives in full sun to dappled shade and prefers well-drained, slightly alkaline soil. It’s hardy in zones 4-8 and can grow up to 5 feet tall and wide. The Tree Peony is a slow grower and may take up to three years to fully establish and flower. Once established, it requires little maintenance and is drought tolerant. It’s an excellent choice for adding a unique touch to your garden.
