Leonurus Cardiaca

Stately perennial up to 6 feet tall. Olive-green leaves with large toothy margins then topped with long flowering stems filled with mauve flowers. Bees adore them, as we lovingly nickname this plant, "The Bee Hotel". Traditionally an important heart medicine and feminine tonic.

Thrives in a sunny location and is drought tolerant once established. Easily at home in a perennial border or herb garden. Can be direct down in spring, then cover lightly or start in small pots.
