Gardener's Notes:
In early spring, sow seeds indoors 1" apart in fine seed starting mix. Cover seeds very lightly. Maintain at 70F (24C) and provide a strong light source. Keep the seed bed moist but not soggy. Be patient: these small perennial seeds germinate slowly and sparsely over 4-6 weeks. When seedlings have several sets of leaves, transplant into 4" pots. When danger of frost is over, plant 1.5' apart in well-drained soil in full sun.
In Containers: transplant into 3-5 gallon containers filled with well draining potting mix. In Cold Winter Climates, plant in containers and bring indoors for the winter. Keep overwintering rosemary in a cool, bright spot out of direct heat. Bring outside in late spring.
