Gardener's Notes: A cool-season crop. Plant seed in early spring in light, fertile, well-drained soil as soon as it can be worked. Sow 2-3 seeds every inch. After germination, thin seedlings to 1-2 inches apart. Radishes grow quickly and need even moisture while forming. Sow every 7-10 days until early summer for continuous supply, Harvest when rounded tops appear. For a late crop, sow again at the end of summer or in early fall weather.
