Gardener's Notes: Sow directly outdoors in fertile, well-drained soil in later fall for germination the following spring or sow in spring as soon as soil can be worked. Seeds may be started indoors 8-10 weeks before transplanting outdoors. Press seeds into soil but do not cover. Water during extended hot, dry weather. Remove faded blooms for continued flowering. Cover with mulch in late fall. Hardy zones 3-9.
