Aster dumosus – Jenny
A compact and floriferous dwarf aster, ‘Jenny’ produces abundant double blooms of deep pink‑red with sunny yellow centers from late summer through autumn. Growing in tidy, mounded clumps about 40 cm tall and 30–40 cm wide, it adds vibrant color to borders, containers, or cottage gardens. Thriving in moist, fertile, well‑drained soil with full sun to part shade exposure, it’s hardy down to about –15 °C (Zone 6) and low‑maintenance. Loved by bees and butterflies, it also works beautifully as a cut flower and is easy to propagate by division every few years.
