Sweet and tender. Attractive, bright red stalks with red-veined dark green, crinkly leaves. Cook the stalks like asparagus and the leaves like spinach. Great in a vegetable garden or ornamental bed. Pick at 30 days for baby leaves and 60 days for mature leaves. Delicious in salads, quiche or steamed with butter.
