The Iris ‘Katherine Hodgkin’, part of the Dwarf family, is an award-winning hybrid iris that is renowned for having beautiful, short flowers. Katherine Hodgkins can be recognized by pale blue-veined petals with yellow blotches, with mature plants staying relatively small at 6 inches. Planted in September-December, you can expect to see blooms forming by as early as February and through until April. Plant bulbs 2 inches deep and 3 inches apart in well-draining soil, ensuring they get exposed to full or partial sun. Dwarf irises do well in a variety of locations; containers, borders, rock gardens, and lawns are all great choices! Be sure to plant these flowers in large groups if used in a lawn, as they can be otherwise easily lost due to their small stature.
