“Blanda White Splendour” is a beautiful variety of anemone that spreads easily to form mounds of large and luminous daisy-like flowers, approximately 2” (5 cm) in size with greenish-yellow centres and white petals that are tinted with a pink hue on their backsides. The flower heads reach a height of 6” from the earth, rising above its fern-like green foliage. To be planted in Autumn (Sept-Dec) in preparation for the arrival of its wonderful springtime (Mar-Apr) blooms. Plant bulbs in moist soil, ideally in areas of partial shade, at a depth of 3” and ensure approximately 2” of space between individual bulbs. Grows best in hardiness zones 4 through 8. Anemones are deer-resistant, however, note that they are poisonous to pets and humans if ingested in large quantities. The perfect choice for any garden in need of a gorgeous groundcover!
