Canna ‘Durban’ is a new variety of Canna characterized by its dark purple foliage that is variegated with green, rose, and yellow stripes. Its brilliant colors scream tropical good vibes and instantly lift the mood of any garden. Vibrant orange flowers on red stems emerge from this vigorous, fast-growing canna to add even more impact in your border or container. Canna ‘Durban’ is a tender perennial that is only hardy to zones 7-10. Therefore, in cooler areas, its bulb will have to be dug up before the first frost and stored indoors over the winter in a dry place before being replanted in spring. Cannas are largely free of pests but in the USA, special care has to be provided to protect their leaves from the damage eventually caused by the Canna Leaf Roller. Keep an eye out for Japanese beetles, caterpillars, slugs, and snails which may chew on the foliage.

  • Lush tropical plants with thick leaves that produce masses of long-lasting blooms.
  • Red, Yellow, and Green Striped Foliage.
  • Not winter hardy – Dig in the fall and store in a frost-free area.
  • Deer Resistant.
