Gardener's Notes: Start seeds indoors 6 weeks before last spring frost & keep very warm, 80F (27C). When seedlings have several sets of leaves, transplant into individual containers. When night temps stay above 50F (10C), acclimate seedlings to outdoor conditions before transplanting 18-24 in. apart into fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. lightly fertilize monthly with an all purpose vegetable fertilizer and mulch well. Harvest by cutting peppers when plump and full-sized, or leave on plant to color up red and sweet.
