This reliable plant is fairly easy to grow as it is very disease hardy, prolific and resistant. They can grow up to 75-90cm tall and about 12.5cm in width. They take about 75-80 days to harvest after being transplanted into a garden. It is a good producer when planted in the summer for an autumn harvest.

Growing From Seed

Sow 4-6 weeks before final frost, 13 mm (½”) deep, 13 mm (½”)
apart in well-drained soil. Harden off and transplant to the garden after the final frost. Or, sow outdoors
when frosts are over and the soil has warmed up. Rich soil and
abundant moisture will offer a good crop. Once the first shoots
are harvested, plants often produce smaller shoots over the
season.
