COSMOS SEASHELLS MIXED
- Unusual tubular petals, attractive ferny foliage
- Long flowering, ideal for back of borders
With petals that fold in to form exquisite shell shaped petals, these booms provide a bright friendly mix of pink, red and white. Typically planted outside in the mid to late spring, blooms can be expected to form between the months of June and October. These blooms are capable of growing well, even in poor soils and dry summers, removing the dead heads regularly can be done to prolong the flowering season.
Growing From Seed
Can be sown directly to the garden, however, for earlier
flowers, sow seed indoors 4-6 weeks before final spring
frost, 6mm (¼”) deep in fine, well drained seed compost.
Germination takes 7-14 days. Sow 2.5-5cm (1-2”) apart and
thin to the strongest plants. If started indoors, harden off
prior to transplanting after the final frost.
