A thistle-like plant that produces nectar rich flowers and stunning purple blooms, these flowers are perfect for cutting. Best grown in a full sun habitat these flowers will thrive grown in a flower border or a wild environment. Bloom times can be expected between July and September, when planted between the early spring and the early summer.
Growing From Seed
Can be direct sown, or for earlier flowers, sow indoors 8-12 weeks
before the final frost. Sow 3mm (1/8”) deep in well drained soil.
Germination: 14-42 days. Transplant to larger pots and grow on.
Harden off plants for about 7 days prior to transplanting to deep,
well drained soil in the garden. Space plants 40cm (16”) apart.
