Also known as cape gooseberry, physalis or ground cherry, these low growing plants grow a heavy yield of golden fruit within papery husks. Does best in a warm or hot location such as a greenhouse. Fruit has a tropical flavour and can be eaten fresh, in pies or as a jam.
