This Canadian wheat, bred in Ontario, is named for its red seed. The stalks can grow quite tall – perhaps up to 5 feet depending on soil fertility – making it a stunning feature in the garden. Wheat is a relatively easy grain to grow on the home scale as it is easy to separate the grain from the chaff. This variety is excellent for milling and baking with.
