Pennisetum alopecuroides - Foxtrot
An elegant and bold fountain grass cultivar, ‘Foxtrot’ forms towering clumps of narrow, arching green foliage that rise to 1.5 m (5 ft), showcasing long bloom stalks that emerge mid‑summer through early fall. The bottlebrush plumes open soft blush pink, gradually aging to warm tan, creating glowing, feathery accents in late‑season garden schemes. One of the largest and most vigorous of the alopecuroides varieties, it creates a gracefully cascading fountain effect visible from afar. Adaptable and low-maintenance, this grass thrives in full sun to light shade in well-drained soils, is deer‑resistant, drought-tolerant once established, and does not self‑seed aggressively.
