One of the most coveted varieties of allium, โSilver Springโ shines brightly with 4โ sparkling globes of delicate white florets with blueberry-purple centres. This vibrant colour combination makes โSilver Springโ a visual spectacle, especially when multiple plants are grown together in large drifts. Truly awe-invoking! Plant in the fall (Sept-Dec) and expect the magnificent blooms to appear in early Summer (June - July) atop โSilver Springโsโ 36โ tall stems. In moderately moist to dry, well-draining soil, plant the bulbs at a depth of 4โ and space each bulb 4โ apart. Grow under the full sun (although a bit of shade is okay) in USDA hardiness zones 4 through 9. This easy-to-grow variety is resistant to deer, however, note that alliums are poisonous if ingested by pets. This fragrant beauty will attract plenty of bees and butterflies with its sweet licorice scent!
