Gardener's Notes: Sow directly outdoors in fertile, well-drained soil in later fall for germination the following spring or sow in spring as soon as soil can be worked. Seeds may be started indoors 8-10 weeks before transplanting outdoors. Water during extended hot, dry weather. Remove faded blooms for continued flowering. Cover with mulch in late fall. Divided plants every 2-3 years for best growth. Hardy zones 4-9.
