Dictamnus albus var. rosea - Gas Plant
An elegant and uncommon perennial, Dictamnus albus var. rosea (commonly known as pink gas plant or burning bush) features soft pink, star-shaped blooms etched with deep rose veining, held on upright spikes above aromatic, glossy green foliage. Blooming in early to mid-summer, this long-lived, deer-resistant plant prefers full sun and well-drained soil, and once established, is highly drought-tolerant. Its nickname comes from the volatile oils released by the leaves, which can briefly ignite in hot, still weather. With fragrant foliage and flowers, this slow-to-establish beauty brings structure and scent to borders and pollinator gardens.
