Calamagrostis acutiflora - Eldorado

A striking variegated form of feather reed grass, ‘Eldorado’ forms upright clumps of narrow green leaves with a bold golden-yellow central stripe that brightens as temperatures rise. In early to mid-summer, slender purple-tinged flower plumes emerge and mature to warm wheat‑tan, persisting into winter for long-lasting structure. This cool‑season grass thrives in full sun to part shade, tolerates drought, clay or average soil, and requires minimal care once established. Award-winning and deer-resistant, it adds height, color contrast, and graceful sway to borders, containers, mass plantings, or cut arrangements.
