Hosta – Brother Stefan

An award‑winning (2017 Hosta of the Year) shade perennial, Hosta 'Brother Stefan' produces dramatic glossy, heavily puckered leaves with golden-yellow centers and deep green margins. The foliage mound grows to a striking 22–28″ (55–70 cm) tall and 36–62″ (90–160 cm) wide, with individual leaves up to 12″ long and 10″ wide. In late spring to early summer, it sends up 26–36″ (65–90 cm) scapes of pure white, bell-shaped flowers that are highly attractive to hummingbirds. A hybrid of ‘King Tut’ × ‘Mildred Seaver’, this moderately fast-growing hosta is slug-resistant, tolerates light morning sun, and thrives in moist, fertile shade garden conditions.
