Hosta – Fire Island

Bright and bold, Hosta ‘Fire Island’ brings a burst of golden foliage to shade gardens with chartreuse leaves on fiery red petioles, especially vivid in spring and early summer. As the season progresses, the foliage softens to chartreuse while the red petioles persist, creating eye-catching contrast. In mid-summer, slender scapes rise approximately 18 inches, adorned with pale lavender blooms that attract hummingbirds. Compact yet vigorous, this cultivar thrives in part to full shade in moist, well‑drained soil.
