Hosta – Vulcan

A bold and striking variegated Hosta, ‘Vulcan’ features broad, glossy heart‑shaped leaves with pure white centers edged in rich dark green, faintly streaked with pale golden yellow near the margins. This vigorous sport of ‘Captain Kirk’ forms a show-stopping mound up to 55 cm (22 in) tall and 90 cm (36 in) wide that maintains crisp leaf contrast throughout the seasonIn mid to late summer, it sends up elegant pale lavender flower spikes on scapes about 60 cm (24 in) tall, attractive to hummingbirds and adding vertical interest. Ideally suited to bright shade or part shade with moisture-retentive, well‑drained soil, it thrives in Zones 3–9 and is both slug- and deer-resistant, making it an easy-care standout for shaded gardens.
