Cucumis sativus
One of our earliest cucumbers. The fruits are approx. 18-20cm (7-8") long and 5cm (2") in diameter with blunt ends. An excellent slicer. Early fortune is a great addition to salads, ad a tasty relish. Plant in 30cm (12") diameter hill, 1.8m (6') apart. Try container gardening with early fortune, using a trellis for support.
Plant directly in the garden after last frost.
