Phaseolus vulgaris
Originally grown in Coupeville, Washington by pioneer farmer Elisha Rockwell in the 1800’s, this rare heirloom bush bean is prized for its early germination in cool soils and the rich, creamy flavour of the cooked dried beans. We have found it to be a reliable producer of fresh green pods as well as tasty dried beans in our coastal BC climate.
Proudly grown on Vancouver Island! Grown without chemicals, pesticides or fertilizers. Open Pollinated.
