Cosmos bipinnatus
A rich mixture of bright, clear white blooms averaging 5 cm (2") in diameter. Pretty, dense, finely cut foliage grows to 90 cm (3') high. Will still flower nicely in partial sun.
How to Grow
It is preferable to direct seed cosmos in the garden although one can start them inside if desired 4 weeks before planting out. Choose a sunny site with well drained soil and sow the seeds 3-6 mm (1/8-1/4") deep in mid to late May. Thin to 30-40 cm (12-16") apart when the seedlings are 5-8 cm (2-3") tall.
