Low-growing plants with succulent stems and leaves are covered with jewel-bright flowers. Colors include white, and shades of yellow, orange, pink, violet, scarlet and bicolors. Plants are easy to grow and are excellent in hot, sunny locations. Use for edging in rock gardens, handing baskets and between stepping stones. Tolerates heat and some drought, but does best when watered. Reseeds where adapted.
