Veronica spicata - Sunny Border Blue

This clump-forming perennial bursts into tall, dense spikes of star-shaped, deep violet-blue flowers from early summer into autumn, offering a show-stopping display. Reaching 45–60 cm (18–24 in) tall with a tidy 30–45 cm (12–18 in) spread, its glossy, crinkled green foliage provides year-round appeal. Loved by bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds, it also withstands deer, rabbits, heat, drought, salt, and powdery mildew. Easy to grow in full sun to light shade with moist, well-drained soil, this award-winning cultivar was named the 1993 Perennial Plant of the Year.
