Perovskia atriplicifolia

Often known as Russian Sage, Perovskia atriplicifolia—now also classified as Salvia yangii—is a striking, woody subshrub prized for its silver-gray aromatic foliage and long-lasting lavender-blue blooms. This resilient perennial brings graceful architecture and extended seasonal color to sunny, low-maintenance gardens. Commonly celebrated as the Perennial Plant of the Year (1995), it typically stands 2–4 ft tall (occasionally up to 5 ft), featuring stiff, square stems adorned with feathery gray-green leaves and tiered clusters of tubular, two-lipped, light blue flowers.
