Tropaeolum majus
Fragrant, bright-red flowers with long spurs glow against the blue-green, rounded leaves. Mounded plants grow quickly to fill beds or containers. Flowers add a spicy dash of color to salads or as garnish. Ht. 12 in.

Gardener's Notes: Plant directly outdoors in spring when night temperatures reach 50F (10C). Grow in a sunny spot (in very hot climates, plant in light shade) in ordinary well-drained soil. Sow seeds 1 in. deep and 4-6 in. apart so they have room to grow. Water as needed during dry periods. Nasturtiums need no additional fertilizer.
