Viola cornuta - Halo Violet

A charming tufted violet, Viola cornuta ‘Halo Violet’ forms a compact mound of scalloped green leaves topped by large, fragrant, deep violet-blue flowers with glowing yellow centers and dark “whiskers.” Blooming prolifically from early spring through frost, it's noted for both winter hardiness and heat tolerance, reblooming when spent blooms are removed. Reaching 8–10 in (20–25 cm) tall and spreading 10–12 in (25–30 cm), it fits beautifully in edging, containers, or as groundcover in part shade to morning sun spots. Easy-care and deer-resistant, it also attracts butterflies and makes a lovely cut flower
