Gardener's Notes: Beans need warm weather to sprout and grow. Plant in late spring after night temperatures reach 55 degrees Fahrenheit (13 degrees Celsius). Sow seeds 3 inches apart in fertile, well-drained soil. Sow every 2-3 weeks until early summer for continuous supply. Keep soil evenly moist. Harvest when pods are about 6-7 inches long and before seeds inside begin to develop, Pick bean pods every other day to keep plants productive.
