A wonderful unique flavour, ideal with meat, fish and eggs. A reliable favourite used fresh or dried. Very fragrant, the leaves attract bees and butterflies
Approx. 1000 seeds
Sow seeds 0.5cm (1/4") deep in warm, well prepared, well drained soil, after last spring frost. Germination is 14-28 days. Water well and thin to 25cm (10"). If grown indoors, keep warm(15-20C/60-68F) and water well. Harden off plants prior to planting outside. Dry for winter use. Hang to dry in a cool place until dry. When dry, remove leaves and seal in air tight container.
Collect plants on a dry day when flowers are fully open.
