Arctostaphylos - Vancouver Jade
Arctostaphylos uva‑ursi ‘Vancouver Jade’ is a low‑growing, evergreen groundcover with glossy, leathery leaves that blush red‑bronze in winter. In mid‑spring it dazzles with delicate bell‑shaped pink or white blossoms, followed by bright scarlet berries in late summer and fall—great for wildlife gardens. It forms a dense, slow‑spreading mat (about 10–15 cm tall and 60–90 cm wide), perfect for erosion control on slopes or as a cascading accent over walls. This drought‑tolerant, low‑maintenance plant thrives in full sun to partial shade, attracting pollinators and birds.
