Iris sibirica - Miss Apple

A vibrant and award‑winning Siberian iris, ‘Miss Apple’ produces richly colored blooms unlike any other: deep red falls highlighted with golden signals, paired with light magenta to violet‑pink standards accented by lavender undertones and subtle veining. It blooms in late spring to early summer (typically May–June), with lightly sweet fragrance enhancing its cut‑flower appeal. The flowers stand on sturdy upright stems that reach around 75 cm (30 in) above narrow, grass‑like foliage, forming slender clumps approximately 30–60 cm (12–24 in) wide. Rated hardy in Zones 3–9 (some sources list zone 4–9), it thrives in moist, humus‑rich soils and tolerates average to wet conditions. Naturally deer‑ and rabbit‑resistant, it's also butterfly‑attractive and reliably performs in rain gardens or borders.
