Iris sibirica - Silver Edge

A stunning, classic Siberian iris, ‘Silver Edge’ features elegant sky-blue to lavender-blue blooms each finely edged in silvery white, highlighted by intricate yellow-and-white veining at the base of the falls. These graceful flowers bloom in late spring to early summer atop tall, sturdy stems (~60–75 cm / 24–30 in), rising well above upright, grass-like foliage that forms neat clumping mounds. Awarded both the RHS Award of Garden Merit and the American Iris Society’s Morgan Award, it’s prized for its refined beauty and reliable performance in Zones 3–9 (or 3–8). This cultivar thrives in medium to wet soils, tolerates full sun to partial shade, and is beautifully suited to moist borders, rain gardens, or water edges. Highly deer‑ and rabbit‑resistant, low-maintenance, and excellent for cutting, it’s also known to attract bees and hummingbirds.
