Doronicum orientale - Little Leo

A compact spring-blooming perennial, ‘Little Leo’ dazzles with bright golden-yellow, semi-double daisy-like flowers on 10–14″ stems above a mound of deep green, heart-shaped foliage. One of the earliest bloomers of the season, it thrives in both sun and light shade, offering cheerful contrast when paired with forget-me-nots or spring bulbs. Hardy in zones 4–9 and tolerant of normal to clay soils, it's ideal for borders, rock gardens, containers, or woodland understories. Deer- and rabbit-resistant, this low-maintenance plant may go dormant in hot summers but readily returns—also making a lovely addition to cut flower arrangements.
