GRAPE HYACINTH - BIG SMILE

  • Mid Spring Flowering
  • 10 Pack
  • Great for Containers
  • Deer resistant
  • Fragrant

The Muscari, also known as the Grape Hyacinth, ‘Big Smile’ is a hardy perennial that is easily recognizable from its dense, spike-shaped blooms. With striking blue/purple flowers, these plants are a stunning addition to any garden; containers, beds, borders, and banks are great options. Try them in cut-flower arrangements as well for a pop of extra colour! Muscari's are also frost-tolerant and deer-resistant, meaning they don’t require much maintenance. When planted from September to December, you can expect your bulbs to start blooming throughout March and April and eventually reach 6 inches tall. Plant bulbs 2 inches deep and 2 inches apart in moist, well-draining soil; Muscari's aren’t fussy about the soil’s composition as long as it has good drainage. These flowers like full to partial sun, and they will thrive best in zones 4-9.
