Salvia nemorosa – May Night

A celebrated meadow sage (Perennial Plant of the Year, 1997) featuring dense spikes of rich violet‑purple blossoms emerging in late spring and early summer. Forms a neat clump of aromatic gray‑green foliage, standing approximately 45–60 cm (18–24 in) tall and spreading 30–45 cm (12–18 in). Prefers full sun and well‑drained soil, thriving with minimal moisture and occasional summer reblooms if deadheaded. Extremely low‑maintenance, deer- and rabbit-resistant, and highly attractive to bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.
