Sanguisorba officinalis - Burr Blanc
Sanguisorba officinalis ‘Burr Blanc’ is a graceful, clump-forming perennial featuring slender, fluffy white bottlebrush flowers that open from green buds on tall, wiry stems. Blooming from summer into fall, its airy flower spikes sway above attractive dark green, pinnate foliage, bringing movement and light texture to perennial borders, prairie-style plantings, and naturalistic gardens. Reaching approximately 1.2–1.5 m (4–5 ft.) tall, this vigorous burnet creates impressive height without appearing heavy and its flowers attract beneficial pollinators. ‘Burr Blanc’ performs best in full sun to partial shade and moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil that does not dry out.
