SNOW TRILLIUM

A treasured woodland spring‐ephemeral, this species presents striking three‑petalled white blooms (often 4" across) that sit atop a whorl of three broad green leaves. The blooms typically open bright white in late spring and age to soft pink, creating a delicate seasonal display. Native to rich deciduous and mixed‐wood forests of eastern North America, it thrives in humus‐rich, evenly moist shade and brings an elegant, naturalized appearance to woodland gardens or shady borders. With patience it will slowly build into a clump, making it a long‑term investment for the shaded garden.
