Astilbe arendsii – Burgundy Red
Astilbe ‘Burgundy Red’ is a gorgeous shade-loving perennial distinguished by its deep red to burgundy plumes held on sturdy stems above glossy, fern-like foliage. Reaching about 45–60 cm tall with matching width, it creates a vibrant yet compact display in moist, partially shaded garden spots. Blooming in early to mid-summer, the long-lasting flower spikes are ideal for fresh or dried arrangements and attract butterflies. Thriving in humus-rich, evenly moist soils, this deer- and rabbit-resistant cultivar also tolerates dappled sun, making it a reliable and elegant addition to shade gardens.
