Astilbe japonica – Deutschland

A classic, early-blooming Japanese astilbe cultivar featuring airy, pure-white pyramidal flower plumes that rise on strong, upright stems in early summer (June–July). Glossy, deep green, finely divided foliage forms a tidy mound about 40–50 cm tall and 30–40 cm wide, ideal for woodland borders, shady beds, or container planting. Prefers consistently moist, humus-rich soil in partial shade to light shade, and performs best in fresh, nutrient-rich conditions. A versatile, deer-resistant perennial prized for fresh cut arrangements and naturalizing under shrubs.
